On this path we meet.....

                                      Love, Honor... and Death

Pumpkin died on Thanksgiving, 2009

He went peacefully in his dads arms. His liver had failed, his pancreas died, both kidneys had shut down and he was bleeding internally.

Post Mortum pathology was interesting, and painfully sad.  Pumpkin was doomed before his diagnosis of 'diabetes'.

Pumpkin's diabetes was secondary to pancreatitis, and a disorder of clotting. Pummpkin's body still made insulin, but he couldn't use it all the time. This is why he was hard to regulate. He also formed clots...and toward the end, his body 'showered' itself with clots.

Thats what killed him. His kidneys infarcted (blocked with clots) in 24 hours, and died.

And then he did....

We grieve for him.

Pumpkin is now the guardian angel of those who come this way.

In honor of both Pumpkin and Boogar, AND to those brave owners and pets who are finding us here on the net, and taking those extra steps to grant life and love when they are told all chance is lost... here are your pictures. If any of you DON'T want a photo up, and I have inadvertantly put one up, please let me know . It's all about respect, love and honor....

Trudy, doing well!                      Kadeth...yep, named for me

Not many pictures yet, and I'll put names up shortly.

As some of you may know, I am considering non-profit status, so that I can legaly ask for support so that I can provide one on one long term consults for pet owners. Originaly I thought I might limit my emails and ask for fees after a certain point, but after realizing the need and the diversity of questions...and understanding very personally the massive vet bills... I can't charge. I just can't. It's not right and honorable.

But I can ask for donations as I need them. Right now a lawyer who knows california non-profit and is willing to donate time would be cool.  Any person who is willing to fund research into use of CGM's (continuous glucose monitoring) in veterinary patients, talk to me. Anyone who wishes to leave an island or land to the spinal cord party boys, damn, that would be cool too lol! But realisticly, lets get non-profit figured out first.

So, to all of you who have passed this way, and all who will in the future...let us stand together and protect, love, serve and honor the little lives we watch over.

Love to you all....Kadeth & the cats
